MARRIAGE FRAUD

8 U.S.C. § 1325(c)

Title 8, United States Code Section 1325(c) makes it a crime for any individual to

knowingly marry for the purpose of evading any provision of the immigration laws.

For you to find the defendant guilty of this charge, the government must prove the

following beyond a reasonable doubt:

First: That the defendant knowingly married a person; and

Second: That he [she] knowingly entered in the marriage for the purpose of evading a

provision of the United States immigration laws.
