Tenn. R. Evid. 1007
Testimony or written admission of party
Contents of writings, recordings, or photographs may be proved by the testimony, deposition, or written admission of the party against whom offered, without accounting for nonproduction of the original.
History
Advisory Commission Comments. This rule dispenses with the original document requirement in the circumstances described. Note that the proposed rule requires an unsworn statement of the contents of a document to be in writing.
