Assignment of an Attorney

If a defendant appears in court without an

attorney, the court shall advise the defendant of the defendant's right to an attorney

and assign an attorney to represent the defendant at every stage of the proceeding

unless the defendant is able to obtain the defendant's own counsel or elects to

proceed without an attorney.
