Westmoreland Cnty. C.P. Criminal Rules RULE WC 569
TRANSPORT ORDERS
(a) Whenever an inmate of the Westmoreland County Detention Center is required to
appear before this court, the sheriff of Westmoreland County may, upon the request
of any judge of this court or the district attorney, transport the defendant between
the detention center and the courthouse without the need of a written order of
court.
(b) The warden must receive approval from the court administrator prior to releasing a
prisoner to another jurisdiction. Once such approval is received, the warden may
release the prisoner into the custody of the other jurisdiction based upon an
appropriate court order or release.
