Westmoreland Cnty. C.P. Local Rules of Court RULE WO 16.10

(a) Whenever the term “application” is used in the abortion sections of these rules, it

shall refer to an application for judicial authorization of an abortion as set forth in

(c) below.

(b) An application may be submitted by a minor, by a guardian on behalf of an

incapacitated person, or by a proposed guardian on behalf of an alleged

incapacitated person.

(c) An application and supporting documents shall be substantially in the form

available from the judge of the Orphans’ Court, and the form of verification to be

signed by the applicant shall be in the form set forth in Pennsylvania Orphans' Court

Rules.

(d) The application and supporting documents shall be available from the judge of the

Orphans’ Court.

(e) The application shall be submitted to, and filed directly with, the judge of the

Orphans’ Court for scheduling.

(f) The verification of medical provider required by the Abortion Control Act shall be

attached to the application or shall be delivered to the court no later than 24 hours

before hearing scheduled upon the application.

(g) The date of filing of the application for purposes of compliance with the Abortion

Control Act shall be deemed to be the date when the application is first presented to

the judge of the Orphans’ Court for scheduling.
