Motion Procedure
1. General Procedure
a. All motions shall be written, shall contain a caption setting forth the name
of the Court, the number of the action, nature of the proceeding, names of the parties,
the name and telephone numbers of the moving counsel, and the name of the party
making the action.
b. All motions shall state whether a hearing or argument is requested, and the estimated
length of time needed for the hearing or argument.
c. A proposed Order shall be attached to all motions.
d. An original and one copy shall be filed with the Prothonotary and a copy served on all
other parties.
e. The Prothonotary shall forward the original motion to the Court Administrator’s
Office and shall retain the copy in the file.
