Requests for Instructions, Charge to the Jury and Preliminary
Instructions
Written requests for instructions to the jury shall contain citations to the authority
relied upon and shall be submitted at the time set by the trial judge. Case and article
citations shall be pinpoint. The failure to submit written requests for instructions to the
jury at the time set may be deemed a waiver of the right to do so unless the trial judge
determines otherwise in the interests of justice.
