Interpreters; Costs

In all proceedings before a judge, district justice or hearing officer where the services of an interpreter are necessary, an official

court interpreter shall be used when available. In other instances an interpreter shall be engaged by the parties, subject to the approval

thereof by the court or the hearing officer.

Comment: At depositions and proceedings other than those listed above, the litigants shall bear the fees and costs of the interpreter.
