Rule 15.3A Persons at Hearing for Voluntary Relinquishment to Adult.

1. The following persons shall appear at the hearing for voluntary relinquishment

of parental rights to an adult intending to adopt the child pursuant to 23 Pa.C.S.

§2502:

a. the parent(s) seeking to relinquish parental rights; and

b. the person(s) to whom custody is sought to be awarded.

2. At least 10 days' notice of the hearing shall be given to a parent who has not

relinquished parental rights and duties and has not joined in the petition for

voluntary relinquishment, to the putative father whose parental rights could be

terminated pursuant to 23 Pa.C.S. §2503(d) and to the parents or guardian of a

petitioner who has not reached 18 years of age. These persons are not required to

attend the hearing.

3. The witnesses at the hearing may be sequestered.
