Rule 1023.1(b)(1) Signing of Documents

(a) Except as permitted by subsection (b) below, all legal papers submitted to the

Prothonotary for filing via mail or hand delivery shall bear the original

handwritten signature of the filing attorney or party (“the filing party”).

(b) Photocopies of legal papers bearing the original handwritten signature of the

filing party will be accepted for filing as permitted by Pa.R.C.P. No. 205.3(a).

contain an electronically stored and inserted image of, or a digitally reproduced

or created copy of, the signature of the filing party, will not be accepted for filing

or acted upon by the Court.
