Berks Cnty. C.P. Orphans Rules Rule 3.4A
Preliminary Decree
The proposed form of a preliminary decree for the issuance of a citation shall include a space for
a return date and a separate space for a hearing date should the court choose to schedule a hearing
pending receipt of an answer. Unless the matter is specifically scheduled for a hearing on the
return date, no interested party need appear on the return day except as desired to ensure the filing
or lack of filing of a responsive pleading or objection.
