Interpreters
Official or certified court interpreters shall be used for all proceedings before the court wherein a
language interpreter is needed. Any person filing a pleading, motion, notice or other document
relating to a proceeding pending before the court where it is known that a participant in the
proceeding will need the assistance of an interpreter shall note in the caption of such document
that “An interpreter is needed: English to (language); (language) to English.” Counsel shall
make the necessary arrangements for an official court interpreter to be present for any court
proceedings.
Comment: A form to request interpreter services is available from Court Administration.
