Pa. Const. sched. to art. V, § 26
Writs of certiorari
Unless and until changed by rule of the Supreme Court, in addition to the right of appeal under section 9 of this article, the judges of the courts of common pleas, within their respective judicial districts, shall have power to issue writs of certiorari to the municipal court in the City of Philadelphia, justices of the peace and inferior courts not of record and to cause their proceedings to be brought before them, and right and justice to be done.
History
Adoption. The provisions of the Schedule to the Judiciary Article were adopted April 23, 1968, P.L.App.16, Prop. No.7, effective January 1, 1969. This schedule is a part of this judiciary article, and it is intended that the provisions contained herein shall have the same force and effect as those contained in the numbered sections of the article. This article and schedule, unless otherwise stated herein, shall become effective on January 1, 1969. In this schedule where the word "now" appears it speaks from the date of adoption of this schedule; where the word "present" appears it speaks from the effective date hereof.
