FAMILY AND DOMESTIC CASES – HEARINGS
A. Applications for temporary restraining orders, emergency ex parte orders, and writs should
be made to the assigned judge. If the assigned judge is unavailable, the application may be
presented to the Chief Judge of the Domestic Division.* If the application is granted by
the Chief Judge, any subsequent show cause hearing will be scheduled before the assigned
judge.
B. The statutory timeline for matters to be heard shall not begin to run until the moving party
provides a paper copy of the motion or application to the assigned judge and requests a
hearing date.
