TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDERS

A. When a Temporary Restraining Order is sought in a suit for injunctive relief, after the

petition has been filed and the case assigned to a judge, the application for the TRO may

be taken to the assigned judge to be heard or set for hearing as may be ordered.

B. No ex-parte restraining order will be issued against any person, firm, corporation, state or

political subdivision, unless counsel has attached a verified statement that either the

opposition is not represented by counsel or that counsel for the opposition has been

contacted and given adequate notice of the presentation of the application at a date and

time certain.

C. No ex-parte temporary restraining order will be issued against the state or political

subdivision thereof unless authorized by a District Judge or Associate District Judge.
