CONVERSION --- ELEMENTS
Conversion is an unauthori zed assumption and exercise of the right of ownership
over the personal property of another person that is inconsistent with the rights of the
owner. [Plaintiff] is required to prove by the greater weight of the evidence the following
in order to recover on the claim for conversion against [Defendant]:
1. [Plaintiff] ( was the owner of)/possessed/(had the right to possess) the
[Specify Property];
2. [Defendant] intentionally (took possession of)/(prevented [Plaintiff] from
having access to)/destroyed the [Specify Property];
3. [Plaintiff] did not consent; and
4. [Plaintiff] was harmed as a result of the conduct of [Defendant].
