Definitions

As used in this code, “provisionally qualified foreign language interpreter,” “Supreme Court

certified foreign language interpreter,” “Supreme Court certified sign language interpreter,”

“registered foreign language interpreter,” “registered sign language interpreter,” “telephonic

interpretation,” “video remote interpretation,” and “translator” have the same meanings as in Rule

9.00 of the Rules of Superintendence for the Courts of Ohio.

Effective Date: July 1, 2023 Amended: November 13, 2025 Commentary (July 1, 2026) Appendix H, Definitions was renumbered to Rule 9.36 as part of the 2026 restructuring of the Rules of Superintendence.
