Defense and indemnification of members of committees on character and fitness

Members of the committees on character and fitness in the Third Judicial Department, as volunteers, are expressly authorized to participate in a State-sponsored volunteer program within the meaning of subdivision 1 of section 17 of the Public Officers Law.
