Organization of the court
(a) All civil and criminal cases shall be randomly assigned.
(b) The justices of the peace shall select one judge as the chief justice of the peace for a term of 1 year as referred to in JCRCP 84. The chief justice of the peace shall supervise the court clerk, including all related court officers, and resolve any calendar assignments and procedural/policy disputes between the court departments.
