ORDER 13

WHEREAS, in Supreme Court Order No. 19- 8500-009, the Court approved 14

the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Pilot Project, which was conducted through 15

the Modria Program provided by Tyler Technologies and operated by th e 16

Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC); 17

WHEREAS, under Supreme Court Order No. 19- 8500-009, the ODR Pilot 18

Project applied to civil cases filed in the district court Pilot Courts under the 19

contract/debt and money due case type and to civil cases filed in the metropolitan 20

and magistrate court Pilot Courts under the general civil case type alleging a cause 21

of action for debt and money due; 22

WHEREAS, the ODR Pilot Project was expanded in September 2019 to a 23

statewide pilot project, as reflected in Supreme Court Order No. 20-8500-036; 24

WHEREAS, Supreme Court Order No. 20-8500-036 further expanded the 25

ODR Pilot Project to include landlord-tenant cases involving the collection of 26

money due that were referred by the district, metropolitan, and magistrate courts; 1

and 2

WHEREAS, this matter having come before the Court upon recommendation 3

of the A OC to suspend the ODR P ilot Program for all debt and money due case 4

types, and the Court having considered the recommendation and being sufficiently 5

advised, Chief Justice Michael E. Vigil, Justice C. Shannon Baco n, Justice David 6

K. Thomson, Justice Julie J. Vargas, and Justice Briana H. Zamora concurring; 7

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the recommendation is 8

APPROVED; and 9

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the ODR Pilot Program for debt and money 10

due cases is hereby SUSPENDED until further order of the Court. 11
