7 TECHNICAL HANDBOOK

8 ORDER

9 WHEREAS, this Court adopted the “New Mexico Appellate Court Technical

10 Handbook” by order dated August 28, 2008;

11 WHEREAS, this Court adopted revisions to the New Mexico Appellate Court

12 Technical Handbook by orders dated September 15, 2010, and August 15, 2013; and

13 WHEREAS, this matter came on for consideration upon recommendation of

14 the Ad Hoc Technical Handbook Revisions Committee to adopt revisions to the New

15 Mexico Appellate Court Technical Handbook that, among other things, reflect

16 citation principles set forth in The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed.

17 2020), and the Court having considered said recommendation and being sufficiently

18 advised, Chief Justice Michael E. Vigil, Justice C. Shannon Bacon, Justice David K.

19 Thompson, Justice Julie J. Vargas, and Justice Briana H. Zamora concurring;

20 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the revisions to the New Mexico

21 Appellate Court Technical Handbook are ADOPTED, effective immediately;

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the revised handbook shall be known as the 1

“New Mexico Appellate Courts Technical Handbook” and shall supersede all prior 2

versions of the technical handbook; and 3

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the revised New Mexico Appellate Courts 4

Technical Handbook shall be distributed by the Clerk of Court to all appellate 5

paralegals and law clerks of this Court and the New Mexico Court of Appeals, the 6

Office of Supreme Court Counsel, the New Mexico Court of Appeals Division of 7

Appellate Court Attorneys, and the New Mexico Supreme Court Law Library. 8
