N.M. Ct. App. Policies & Procedures Manual XVI
PARALEGALS
A. Paralegals shall meet the qualifications as outlined in Rule 12-115
NMRA and the NMJB Personnel Rules, as applicable.
B. The paralegal division will be managed by the reporter of decisions. In
the event a reporter of decisions is not in place, the judges and/or the
chief judge will decide on the appropriate management of the paralegal
division on a temporary basis as appropriate to the situation and the
needs of the Court.
C. The paralegals shall tech opinions in accordance with the New Mexico
Appellate Courts’ Technical Handbook and pursuant to the policies for
the circulation and technical review of proposed opinions in effect.
