Adverse Actions

An adverse action may be taken by the Department due to a provider’s non-compliance with Federal

regulations, State laws, or Department rules, policies or procedures. Refer to the “Adverse Actions”

section of the General Billing Manual – Volume I – regarding the types of adverse actions the Department

is authorized to take against non-compliant providers.
