N.C. Stds. Prof'l Conduct for Mediators Standard 9
Unlawful Discrimination Prohibited
A mediator shall not engage in unlawful discriminatory conduct
within the mediation process.
A mediator shall not engage in conduct within the mediation process that the
mediator knows, or reasonably should know, discriminates against a person on an
unlawful basis. This standard does not limit the prerogative of a mediator to accept,
decline, or withdraw from a matter in accordance with these standards.
