N.C.P.I.—Motor Vehicle 215.36
INSIDE MIRRORS-PICKUP TRUCKS.
The motor vehicle law provides that no person shall drive a pickup
truck on a [street] [highway] unless it is equipped with an inside rearview
mirror of a type approved by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles which
provides the driver with a clear, undistorted and reasonably unobstructed
view of the [street] [highway] to the rear. A violation of this law is not
negligence within itself. However, the evidence with regard to it may be
considered with all other facts in evidence in determining whether (name
driver) was negligent. The motor vehicle law is not violated by the failure
of the pickup truck to be equipped with such an inside rearview mirror if
the pickup truck is equipped with an outside rearview mirror of a type
approved by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.1
