N.C.P.I.—Motor Vehicle 215.30
REQUIREMENT OF SAFETY GLASS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES.
The motor vehicle law provides that it is unlawful to knowingly
operate, on a public [highway] [street], any motor vehicle registered in
this State with any glass in the [doors] [windows] [windshield] [wings]
[partitions] which is not safety glass. Safety glass is glass so treated or
combined with other materials as to reduce, in comparison with ordinary
sheet glass or plate glass, the likelihood of injury to persons by glass
when the glass is cracked or broken.2
A violation of this law is negligence within itself.
