N.C.P.I.—Motor Vehicle 210.31
EMERGENCY VEHICLES-CHASING FIRETRUCKS (OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS).
The motor vehicle law provides that outside the corporate limits of
any city or town it is unlawful for the driver of any vehicle [other than one
on official business] to:
[follow closer than 400 feet any fire apparatus traveling in response
to a fire alarm.]
[park or drive such vehicle within a space of 400 feet from where
any fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm.]
A violation of this law is negligence within itself.
