N.C.P.I.—Motor Vehicle 203.57
RAILROAD CROSSING-RAILROAD'S DUTY OF CARE-DUTY TO PROVIDE SPECIAL WARNING AT EXTRA HAZARDOUS CROSSINGS.
Where a railroad crossing is peculiarly and unusually hazardous to
travelers who try to cross it, the railroad has a duty to exercise ordinary
care in providing reasonable protection for those who use the crossing
including, where the circumstances warrant, installation of safety devices
at the crossing.
A violation of this duty is negligence.
