N.C.P.I.—Motor Vehicle 203.51
RAILROAD WARNING SIGNALS MUST BE OBEYED.
The motor vehicle law provides that when the operator of a vehicle
approaches a railway grade crossing, and a signal given by a [mechanical
or electrical device] [gate] [flagman] indicates the approach of a train or
railroad car, it is unlawful for the operator to fail to bring the vehicle to a
complete stop and to determine that further movement can be made in
safety before crossing the tracks.
A violation of this law is negligence within itself.
