Medicaid Additional Criteria Covered
In addition to the specific criteria covered in Subsection 3.2.1 of this policy, if a
Medicaid hospice beneficiary becomes a resident of a skilled nursing facility
(SNF), nursing facility (NF) or an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with
Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID), Medicaid shall cover room and board charge
when the Medicare hospice benefit is elected.
