N.C. Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy No. 3D § 1.1.4
Terminally Ill
Terminal ill means that the beneficiary has a medical prognosis that his or her life
expectancy is 6 months or less if the illness runs its normal course, according to
42 CFR §418.3.
