N.C. Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy No. 3D § 1.1.2
Hospice Care
Hospice care means a comprehensive set of services described in 1861(dd)(1) of
the Social Security Act, identified and coordinated by an interdisciplinary group to
provide for the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional needs of the
terminally ill patient, family member, as delineated in the specific plan of care,
according to 42 CFR §418.3.
