HOSPICE AIDE AND

HOMEMAKER

SERVICES

Home health aide services may provide personal care services

such as bathing, dressing, grooming, etc. Aides may perform

household services to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in

areas of the home used by the member, such as:

1. Changing bed linens;

2. Light cleaning; and

3. Laundering, essential to the comfort and cleanliness

of the client.

Aide services must be provided under the general supervision of a

registered nurse.

Homemaker services may include assistance in maintenance of a

safe and healthy environment and services to enable the provider

to carry out the treatment plan.

Individuals who provide hospice aide and homemaker services

must meet the criteria as found in 42 CFR 418.76.
