Miss. R. Crim. P. 29.2

Upon receiving written notice of appeal, and upon the defendant’s compliance

with Rules 29.3(a) and 29.4(a), the circuit clerk shall promptly notify the lower

court and the appropriate prosecuting attorney. Within ten (10) days after

receipt of such notice, the judge or clerk of the lower court shall deliver to the

clerk of the circuit court a certified copy of the record and all original papers in

the case.

History

Comment: Rule 29.2 is consistent with former Rule 12.02(A.)(3.) of the Uniform Rules of Circuit and County Court.
