Miss. R. Crim. P. 17.1
Scope
Rules 17.2 and 17.3 apply in felony cases and in trials of misdemeanor cases in
circuit and county court. Rule 17.10 applies in municipal and justice court. The
balance of Rule 17 applies in all courts.

Comment: Rules 17.2 through 17.9 address discovery in the context of felony cases and trials of misdemeanor cases in circuit and county court. Rule 17.10 expands current practice and creates a limited discovery procedure in municipal and justice courts.
