Suspected Abuse/Neglect

If there is reasonable cause to suspect that a beneficiary may be in danger of abuse, neglect,

exploitation, cruelty, or other hazards, the hospice must report the suspected abuse to the Adult or Child

Protective Services Unit of the local MDHHS office. (Refer to the General Information for Providers

Chapter of this manual for additional information.)
