SCOPE OF RULES
These rules govern the procedure in all proceedings in the Probate Courts, with
the limitations stated in Rule 81. These rules also govern the procedure on
removal or transfer from the Probate Courts to the District and Superior Courts
and in appeals from the Probate Courts to the Supreme Judicial Court sitting as
the Law Court. The rules shall be construed to secure the just, speedy, and
inexpensive determination of every proceeding.
