M.R. Evid. 603

OATH OR AFFIRMATION TO TESTIFY TRUTHFULLY

Before testifying, a witness must give an oath or affirmation to testify truthfully.

The oath or affirmation must be in a form designed to impress that duty on the

witness’s conscience.
