District Court Administrative Regulation XXVII: Handguns and Other Type of Firearms on Court Premises
NOTICE OF REVISION
Effective 07/24/2024
The Chief Judge of the District Court of Maryland has revised the following
District Court of Maryland Administrative Regulation:
XXVII. Handguns and Other Type of Firearms on Court Premises
By the authority vested in me under Courts and Judicial Proceedings
§ 1-605, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Administrative Regulation
XXVII is revised to reflect the following change:
• In District Court locations that have Parole and Probation offices,
security officers contracted by the Department of Public Safety and
Correctional Services are permitted to carry into the District Court a
handgun or other type of firearm while guarding the Department of
Parole and Probation offices.
