La. Sup. Ct. R. III, § 5

First Volume of Record

For any record composed of more than one volume, the pleadings, documents,

exhibits, court orders, minutes, reasons and judgment of the court, petition or

motion and order, and bond of appeal shall be included, insofar as possible, in

V olume 1. Witness testimony and other court case records offered in evidence shall

be included in V olume 2 and, if necessary, subsequent volumes. Each volume shall

contain the index of the entire record as required by Section 4 of this Rule.

Repealed and re-enacted by the Supreme Court's order of December 2025 (Rules I–XII, XIV and XLII), effective 2026-01-01.
