Assignment of cases for trial

Effective January 1, 1970

(A)1 Rules for assignment of cases.

The trial courts shall provide by rule for placing of actions upon the trial calendar:

(1) without request of the parties; or

(2) upon request of a party and notice to the other parties; or

(3) in such manner as the court determines will expedite trials.

Precedence shall be given to actions entitled thereto by any statute of the state, including

hearings upon temporary restraining orders, injunctions and receiverships.
