Ind. Elkhart Cnty. Local Rule LR20-AR00-903
Late Payment Fee for Court Costs, Fines and Civil Penalties
A. Pursuant to Indiana Code 33-37-5-22, the Courts of Elkhart County adopt a late payment fee in
the sum of twenty-five ($25.00) for defendants who have not tendered timely payment of costs,
fines, or civil penalties.
B. For the purposes of this local rule, an individual who has committed a crime, violated a statute
defining an infraction, violated an ordinance of a municipal corporation, or committed a
delinquent act, is defined as a “defendant.”
