Patients Admitted to a Noncontracted Nursing Facility

If a member is admitted to a noncontracted nursing facility, the hospice must discharge the member from

being under the hospice level of care (LOC), as it does not have a written agreement required under

42 CFR 418.112(c). This does not mean the member is discharged from the nursing facility.
