Definition Of Failure To Keep A Register Of Firearm Sales By Dealer
A person, other than [(a manufacturer selling to a bona fide wholesaler) (a manufacturer
selling to a bona fide retailer) (a wholesaler selling to a bona fide retailer)], who sells firearms of
a size which may be concealed upon the person, commits the offense of failure to keep a register
of firearm sales by dealer when he
[1] fails to keep a register of all firearms sold or given away, containing the date of the
sale or gift, the name, address, age, and occupation of the person to whom the firearm is sold or
given, the price of the firearm, the kind, description and number of the firearm, and the purpose
for which it is purchased and obtained.

[2] on demand of a peace officer, fails to produce for the police officer's inspection all
stock on hand and a register of all firearms sold or given away by him containing the dates of the
sales or gifts, the name, address, age, and occupation of the persons to whom the firearms had
been sold or given, the price of the firearm, the kind, description, and number of each firearm
and the purpose for which the firearms were purchased and obtained.
