Definition Of Stalking (Until August 20, 1993)

A person commits the offense of stalking when he transmits a threat to another person

with the intent to place that person in reasonable apprehension of [(death) (bodily harm) (sexual

assault) (confinement) (restraint)], and in furtherance of that threat does [any one or more of] the

following act[s] on at least two separate occasions:

[1] knowingly follows the person, other than within the residence of the defendant.

[or]

[2] knowingly places the person under surveillance by remaining present outside [(the

person's school) (the person's place of employment) (the person's vehicle) (any place

occupied by the person) (the person's residence other than the residence of the defendant)

].
