Issues In Inducement To Commit Suicide--Providing The Means Or Participating In A

Physical Act

To sustain the charge of inducement to commit suicide, the State must prove the

following propositions:

First Proposition: That the defendant intentionally [(offered and provided the physical

means) (participated in a physical act)] by which ____[(committed) (attempted to commit)]

suicide; and

Second Proposition: That the defendant knew that ____ intended to [(commit) (attempt

to commit)] suicide.

If you find from your consideration of all the evidence that each one of these propositions

has been proved beyond a reasonable doubt, you should find the defendant guilty.

If you find from your consideration of all the evidence that any one of these propositions

has not been proved beyond a reasonable doubt, you should find the defendant not guilty.
