Homemaker

Homemaker services include assistance in maintaining a safe and healthy environment and

services to enable the individual to carry out the treatment plan. Homemakers must have

successfully completed hospice orientation on addressing the needs and concerns of patients

and families coping with a terminal illness. A Hospice Aide meets the requirements to be a

homemaker. Homemakers must be supervised by, and receive instructions from, a member

of the interdisciplinary group. Homemakers must report all concerns to the member

coordinating their services.
