Influenza Vaccinations

All routine injections are included in the reimbursement for home health agency scheduled

nursing visits. An exception is the administration of the influenza vaccine. The department

will reimburse the agency for injection administration costs if no other home health visit is

billed on the same day as the vaccination. A description in the remarks section of the claim

form must indicate that influenza vaccine was administered.
