In the Matter of the Seals
of the Courts for the State of Hawai#i
ORDER
(By: Recktenwald, C.J., Nakayama, McKenna, Pollack, and Wilson, JJ.)
Whereas, Hawai#i Revised Statutes section 606-3 (2016)
authorizes the imprint of an electronic seal upon any court
document, process, or certificate,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the seal, which is appended
hereto as Exhibit A, is adopted and approved as the seal that may
be electronically imprinted on any court document, process, or
certification issued by the circuit courts, the district courts
or the family courts of the State provided that the document also
includes: (a) text identifying the title of the particular court
of the State of Hawai#i using the seal; and (b) the name of the
clerk of that court.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that variation in the size and
shading of an electronically imprinted seal does not affect its
validity.
