In the Matter of the Assignment of the
Judges of the State of Hawai'i
ORDER OF DESIGNATION
(By: Recktenwald, C.J.)
Pursuant to article VI, §§ 2 and 6 of the Constitution
of the State of Hawai'i and Hawai'i Revised Statutes § 604A-1(b)
(2014), I hereby designate the several environmental district
court judges of the First, Second, Third, and Fifth Judicial
Circuits to temporarily act as environmental circuit court judges
in their respective circuits, on an as needed basis, to hear such
environmental court matters as shall be assigned by the
Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court of that circuit, who
shall coordinate such assignments with the Administrative Judge
of the District Court or the Senior Environmental Court Judge of
that circuit, as applicable. This designation shall be effective
upon filing and shall remain in effect until otherwise ordered.
This designation shall also apply to any district court
judge who may hereinafter be designated as an environmental
district court judge of the First, Second, Third, or Fifth
Judicial Circuit and shall be effective immediately upon his or
her designation.
